FAQ
Q. How long have you been in business?
A. The Second Handlers have been in business for 41 years, having started in 1979. For more details please see the Who We Are page.
Q. How do I schedule an appointment?
A. You can schedule an appointment with The Second Handlers by contacting Tony Knitt at 920-379-6629 or emailing us at tnknitt@sbcglobal.net.
Q. Is this an auction?
A. No, this is not an auction. A couple of things make this different from an auction. 1) Everything is priced individually. At an auction, there can be many things thrown together in a box and they might bring in $3.00, whereas, if those items are priced out individually, they have the opportunity to bring in more money. 2) You go to the sale and "shop" as if you were at a store. If you see something you like and you like the price, you pick it up and check out. If you see something you like but don't want to pay the marked price, you can leave a written bid.
Q. How long does the sale run?
A. Sales normally run 3 days - Thursday, 11 - 6 PM; Friday, 11 - 6 PM; Saturday, 9 - 11 AM
Q. How quickly can you set up a sale?
A. It can vary, depending on how big the sale is (how much is in the house, how much cleaning there is, etc.).
Q. What do you do with the things that are left over?
A. That is left up to you. We have someone come in at the end of the sale and we negotiate a price for the remaining items and the rest of the contents are removed. Some opt to take care of disposing the leftover items themselves while others will choose to donate the remainder of the items to different charity organizations (St. Vincent de Paul, Goodwill, etc.)
Q. Do you sell items on consignment?
A. Yes we do. If we have a sale that has room for consignment items and we get the OK from the client, we can put your items on a sale.
Q. Do you have a resale store?
A. No.
Q. Can you also sell the house?
A. We can help you with that need, as well!
